Did you ever wish you could turn up the heat without getting out of your warm cozy bed? Or that you could turn down the air conditioning from your living room chair? Or put the thermostat in a newborn baby's room to keep the temperature exactly right? If you wish to be able to move the thermostat, put it by your bedside at night, or even control your heating and air conditioning system from two different places, such as upstairs and downstairs, then the Totaline Wireless Thermostat is for you.

WHAT IS TWO-STAGE COOLING AND IS IT FOR ME?

Do you sometimes find it difficult to obtain the ideal temperature within your home during the cooler months? First, it's hot so you turn down the thermostat which starts the air condition; then it's so cold you turn it up again.

Traditional air conditioners are designed to cool your home and keep you cool during the hottest weather. They operate at one level---high.

Unlike traditional air conditioners that turn on and run at full capacity with each demand for cooling, two stage air conditioners operate like two separate air conditioners to maintain more consistent comfort in your home. The unit starts out running in it's first stage and operates at about 68% of it's cooling capacity. This reduced capacity is sufficient to keep your home cool on warm days. The air conditioner will adjust itself to full capacity (second stage) to meet the demand for cooling within the home. It's kind of like having two air conditioners for the price of one. With two stage cooling you won't have to keep adjusting the thermostat.

BENEFITS OF 2 STAGE COOLING:

Consistent comfort
Two-stage cooling eliminates the temperature swings associated with standard air conditioners, regulating temperature to within as little as one degree of the thermostat setting.
Quiet operation
Two-stage air conditioners start in the first stage, when the amount of cooling required is lower, instead of reaching full capacity all at once. That means there's no sudden blast of air.
Improved air filtration
Low-speed operation allows your filters to capture more contaminants (because air is constantly passing through them), so you can breathe easier.
Efficient performance
Because the air conditioner operates mostly in its lower-capacity first stage, it uses less electricity than a standard air conditioner that always runs at full capacity and shuts off when the cooling demand has been met.

TWO-STAGE FURNACES

WHAT IS TWO-STAGE HEATING AND IS IT FOR ME?

Do you sometimes find it difficult to obtain the ideal temperature within your home during the cooler months? First, it's cold so you turn up the thermostat which starts the furnace; then it's so hot you turn it down again.
